Personal:

Mr. Roemersma has been a named partner in the Law Firm since 2005. He is admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Roemersma limits his practice to the areas of Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability. Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a workers compensation attorney.

As a compensation attorney, Mr. Roemersma solely represents injured workers and does not represent insurance companies. For example, Mr. Roemersma was a representative attorney in the case of Shepard v. HDC, 174 N.J. 1 (2002), and successfully argued for the New Jersey Supreme Court to adopt the “continuing violation theory,” which allows a plaintiff to sue for a hostile work environment two years after the last act of harassment. This case was a major victory for all injured employees who suffer from a hostile work environment at their place of employment.

Prior to becoming a partner, Mr. Roemersma served as a Law Clerk in 1998 to the Honorable John F. Kingfield of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Criminal Part, Warren County, and subsequently worked for the firm of Pfeiffer, Winegar, Wilhelm & Glynn as an associate from 1999-2004.

Mr. Roemersma received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Roger Williams University School of Law and graduated in the top ten percent of his class in 1998. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Roemersma graduated Magna Cum Laude when he received a Bachelor of Science (Finance) from King’s College in 1995. In 1993, Mr. Roemersma was employed by Lloyds of London as an insurance broker and underwriter.

Mr. Roemersma is an active member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Associations, as well as the Northampton and Warren County Bar Associations, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), the New Jersey Workers' Compensation Inn of Court, and the Northampton County Pennsylvania Workers Compensation Committee.

As for his personal life, Mr. Roemersma is married and has two wonderful children. Mr. Roemersma enjoys participating in various sports including soccer and golf. His favorite past-time is watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
