Personal:

Mr. Winegar is the Managing Partner of Winegar, Wilhelm, Glynn & Roemersma, and specializes in Family Law, Wills and Estates, and Real Estate Law. He is admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Winegar is also certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Law Attorney.

Mr. Winegar and his former partner, James L. Pfeiffer, founded the Law Firm under its original name, Pfeiffer Winegar, in 1995. In April 2005, Mr. Pfeiffer left the firm to become a New Jersey Superior Court Judge for Warren County.

Prior to starting the Law Firm with Mr. Pfeiffer in 1995, Mr. Winegar worked as an associate in a law firm from 1988 to 1992, and subsequently became a Partner in his previous firm, Day & Winegar, in 1992. After three years of partnership, Mr. Winegar decided to form a new partnership with Mr. Pfeiffer as they began building the law firm now known today as Winegar, Wilhelm, Glynn & Roemersma,P.C.

Throughout his legal career, Mr. Winegar has primarily focused his practice in the area of Family Law. However, as a young attorney, Mr. Winegar engaged in the general practice of law and represented clients in various criminal, municipal court, personal injury, and real estate matters. Ever since concentrating his practice in Family Law, Mr. Winegar has been involved in numerous matrimonial trials and appearances before the Trial Courts and Appellate Courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Simply put, Mr. Winegar is a seasoned litigator who enjoys appearing before the Court. It is Mr. Winegar’s belief that hard work and dedication have contributed to the successes he has enjoyed during his professional career. He is patient and very considerate of his client’s needs. Mr. Winegar often states that he represents his clients as though he was sitting in the client’s chair. Mr. Winegar derives significant satisfaction from helping his clients get through very difficult times in their lives, and he is very proud to be an attorney.

Mr. Winegar concentrates in family law matters in large part because his family is so important to him. Mr. Winegar is married with three lovely children and remains very close to his three siblings, as well as his nieces and nephews, all of whom live in close proximity. Unfortunately, Mr. Winegar’s mother recently died of cancer, but he remains very close to his father who lives within miles of the Law Firm.

Mr. Winegar was born on August 23, 1963 in Hanover, New Hampshire (while his father was enrolled in Dartmouth College). Prior to attending law school, Mr. Winegar attended Pascack Valley High School in Hillsdale, New Jersey, and later received a Bachelors of Arts (Political Science) from Rutgers University in 1985. Mr. Winegar made the Dean’s List six out of eight semesters while attending college, and was selected as a Scholar for Independent Study. He also was a Gatehouse Peer Counselor and was extremely involved in many different intramural sports.

Mr. Winegar received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Rutgers University School of Law in 1988, where he continually made Dean’s List and remained very active in intramural sports. During law school, Mr. Winegar also served as a law clerk for both a general practice law firm in Belvidere, NJ, as well as a personal injury law firm in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Mr. Winegar has also been involved in teaching and lecturing. From September 1997 through May 1999, Mr. Winegar was an Adjunct Professor in Business Law at Centenary College, located in Hackettstown, New Jersey. He has given many lectures to a wide variety of audiences, appeared as a guest on a local radio station to discuss family law matters, and was even a repeated featured guest on WFMZ-TV’s “Law Journal” television program (three episodes) to discuss family law matters.
